Duong lam Ancient – Van Phuc silk village – Tay Phuong pagoda

Duong Lam village is Son Tay town and about 60km west of Hanoi. This village has been known as a museum of laterite with ancient houses aged up to 400 years old.

Situated on the bank of Nhue river, about 10km southwest of Hanoi Old Quarter, Van Phuc silk village is renowned for its traditional weaving and premium quality silk products. And visiting the most typical pagoda, the clients will surprise with special compositions of sculpture art.


8.00: Guide & the car pick up visitor at hotel for 60km drive to Duong Lam village.

9.30: Stopover at Van Phuc silk village, get to know how silk are manufactured.

10.30: Clients come to see Tay Phuong Pagoda, build in the 8th century.

11.00: Arrive at Duong Lam ancient village, passing entrance village, visit Mong Phu communal house, and sugar cane god mother small temple. Some local heritage houses and samples the local delicacies.

11.30: Take a picturesque and go along peaceful to countryside road to some historical vestiges such as: Giang Van Minh worship house, Temple of King Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.

12.30: Come to the holy Milking well.

13.30: Get a taste of Vietnamese culture by joining a local family for lunch.

14.15: After lunch make way back to Hanoi. On the way back, visit Son Dong traditional wood sculpture village which produces and supplies most of their work to pagodas and temples in North Vietnam.

16.00: Transport will drop you back at your hotel.
